What Price Memory does

Price Memory is a personal grocery price tracker. You upload receipt photos, we extract the items and prices, and we store that history so you can compare prices over time.

Data we collect

• Your email address, used for authentication
• Receipt photos you upload
• Extracted data from those receipts: store name, item names, prices, and dates
• Basic usage events to understand how the app is used (via PostHog)

Why we use it

• To authenticate you securely
• To process receipts and extract price data on your behalf
• To show you your personal price history and trends
• To improve the product based on how it is used

When we may access receipt data

Receipt photos and extracted receipt data are private to your account.

We may access receipt photos and extracted receipt data when necessary to operate, debug, secure, and improve the service, respond to support requests, or comply with legal obligations.

We do not use receipt data for advertising or sell receipt data to third parties.

Third-party processors

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage
• AI/OCR provider (OpenRouter) — receipt image processing and data extraction
• PostHog — product analytics

Each provider processes data only as needed to deliver their service and is bound by their own privacy and data protection policies.

Your rights

You can request to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Correct any inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your price history
